I purchased you from the store, a pair of affordable flip flop sandals. Ideal for the warm office atmosphere during the summer work hours, and equally suitable for relaxing at home or engaging in household tasks. Little did I know, one of my flip flops harbors a secret. Its eyes, positioned atop the toe thong, silently observe me whenever I'm in proximity or wearing them. However, there's no means of communication between us. You remain passive, incapable of reaching out to me. Each day, I casually slide my bare foot into you, unknowingly trampling over you as I go about my routine, neglecting any connection with you, except when you become visibly dirty – prompting an "eew" reaction.
My flip flops, though inexpensive, serve their purpose well as comfortable, everyday, casual summer footwear. As the summer season concludes, I face a dilemma: whether to stow you away in storage for the next year or dispose of you in the trash.
